Recreational/Educational Programming
Offered at the following Northwest Buffalo Community Center
Youth Services sites:
Northwest Center
155 Lawn Avenue - 876-8108
Monday - Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm
Shaffer Village
112 Isabelle Street - 873-8128
Monday - Friday  3:00 - 7:30pm
Activities
The Northwest and Shaffer Village sites provide supervised play and various individual
and group instruction, in both the recreational and social recreational areas.
PHYS ED

  • Flag Football,
  • Boxing,
  • Weight Training
Both sites offer a Fall arts and crafts program, as well as special
event programming.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Academic Improvement
The Northwest site offers an Academic Improvement Program.
This Program provides educational assistance in all subjects
except foreign languages.
Students in first through twelfth grade are eligible. This
Program operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:00pm
by appointment only.

Basic Eligibility:
All youth ages 6 to 18 are eligible and you must be a City of Buffalo, Riverside - Black Rock resident.
