Recreational/Educational/Social Awareness Programming

ACTIVITIES:
The Northwest Buffalo Community Center main facility and the Shaffer Village Youth Program provides supervised
programming for youth ages 6-19 years old (Shaffer Village:6-14 years old)in a variety of programs geared to assist the
child educationally and socially.

PROGRAMS:

EDUCATIONAL:   
Hours of Operation:  Monday – Friday 3:00 – 8:00 PM

•        Academic Improvement and One on One Tutorial
•        Computer Literacy
•        Literacy/Reading Program:  This program is mandatory at the Northwest Site for all youth participants’ ages 6-14
years old.  They are required to read for 20-30 minutes daily before participating in all other activities.
