students in grades 5-8.

SOCIAL / RECREATION
In addition to helping students academically, the 21st CCLC program
offers students a broad array of additional services, programs, and
activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence
prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, and
recreation programs, technology education programs, and character
education programs, that are designed to reinforce and complement
the regular academic program of participating students.  
Some of the course offerings for the recreation portion of the
program include:  football, swimming, basketball, drill, cooking,
jewelry-making, and arts & crafts.
ACADEMICS
The 21st CCLC program helps students meet state and local
standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math;
offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can
complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and
other educational services to the families of participating children.  
Students are given professional instruction from certified teachers
during the academic session of the program.  The Ticket-to-Read
program for ELA and the Carnegie program for Math are two of the
programs that student’s access frequently to improve their skill sets
in the content areas.
FAMILY RESOURCES
The program also offers families of students served by the 21st
CCLC program opportunities for literacy and related educational
development.
HEALTHY SNACKS
In between our academic and social / recreational modules we offer
all our students a nutritious snack compliments of  Buffalo Public
Schools.
