Guard, Shoes, and Hand-wraps.  All other equipment is supplied by the program.
Background:
Former USA Boxing Amateur Champion who represented this country in several
international boxing events around the world.  As a professional boxer Mr.
Patterson put together an impressive record before having his career cut short
due to an eye injury.  Presently, he is the Director of the Upward Bound Program
at Buffalo State College where he assists both high school and college students
in realizing their dream of obtaining a college degree.  He also serves as a youth
mentor to many of the youth in and around the City of Buffalo and Erie County.
Program
Description:
Under the leadership of Mr. Patterson, the boxing program has developed many
local, state, regional, national and international champions.  Lionel Thompson, a
junior at Buffalo State College – 5 times Empire State Games Champion, 4 time
NYS Golden Glove Champion, Olympic Region Box-off Champion.  Justin Keith -
2 time Junior Golden Glove Champion, Empire State Games Champion.  Excell
Holmes - NYS Golden Gloves Champion, Empire State Games Champion, and
Olympic Box-off Champion.  Jonny Davis - Empire State Games Champion; and
the list go on and on.

We also features an academic tutorial and social awareness programs that we
encourage all our boxers to participate in either before or after training.  These
programs  are important because we train more than just great boxers; we train
great young men and women who are the leaders of tomorrow.
